I don’t really have much to write about, since I ususally just blast everything that’s going on, on Twitter. I will probably keep my lifestream up and put up my twitterfeed on my main page, with links to various things (resume, contact info, webcam etc.).  I like how simple Sean McColgan’s website is. I might kick off some ideas from that website. I don’t know. I’m just not into writing anything in my blog. I can post videos, links, news, and everything else just in Twitter. Do I really need something else for you guys to read? I mean it makes it easier for you people to just come to RandyR.net and just read my updates from Twitter. Everything else under the sun get’s transfered there anyways. It just makes it easier for me to just update that and that’s it. Do you guys think it’s a good idea? Do you have suggestions? Just write a comment if you do. I hope it will all work out, but I just don’t realize the point in personal blog’s anymore, unless it serves a purpose. Respond below.

Well I’m sure most of you have heard this already, Circuit City is closing down all stores. It kinda sucks, because I actually started moving up and started making decent money. I honestly thought we were going to pull out of the shitty economy, but I guess not. Circuit City employees over 35K employees, which all of them are losing the jobs, and for many their careers. It really doesn’t hurt me to bad, yeah it suck, but I have people at my work that have had jobs with CC for 10-20 years. Now that really sucks for them. I feel bad for em. They are all very nice people and don’t deserve that.

I on the other hand, just need to get off my ass and get a better job. That’s all. I’ve been looking for time to time, and I have people helping me, but I it’s time to realize that it’s gonna be hard to find one, especially now, but it will happen eventually. Leave me your comments or questions and I’ll try to answer them from what I know!

With work and trying to find that one special job, as well as all the other things to do, it’s been hard finding time to actually do a vlog. I was going to, but my camera was dead the other day. It’s now fully charged, so be on the lookout and of course you will get a email.

So check out the new website until then. My cam is now streaming all the time. If I’m not here, I have it setup to play some nice tunes and rotate some images that says I’m not here. I also redesigned my portfolio website. It looks very nice ;) . Studio727 is where it’s at. I promise it will only be a couple of more days till I have a new vlog up here. Stay tuned, and I am sorry for leaving you guys bored at the site.

That change is, well if you can’t tell by now… well… leave! Wait don’t, maybe this is your first time here… Well I’ll shut up. The changes of my new website layout are finished! I am now working on trying to get my damn webcam setup and running right. I had it going all day today, but it just wasn’t working right. I changed a few settings, and now it won’t recognize my camera is even connected. I guess I’ll have to find one made for a mac. I have a couple in mind. I am just reviewing a few to see which one would be best for me, and my mac. The ones I’m looking at, should shoot really good video, so stay tuned for that.

I was thinking about doing a video blog tonight, but I am just way to pooped to do that. This tax free weekend stuff, tore me up! I can’t wait for my day off on Tuesday, so look for a vlog then. I have a ton of stuff to do, so I hope I can get to it. Maybe with my new webcam? We’ll see. Our upstairs is totally done, aside from the touch ups, so stay tuned for that video.

I guess this is as good as time as any, because I don’t have a camera at the moment to film a vlog. Why you might ask? Well if you’ve been keeping up with my twitter, then you will know that I lost my Sony digicam. I don’t know what the hell happened to it. It was on my couch one day, and then boom. It’s gone. So I still had my Sony HDD cam. It continued to use this for a while and then I realized something. I just didn’t like the quality as much as I thought I did. So I went shopping around. I found the Flip Mino video camera, and I really liked the quality and everything, but I still had this though in my head that I needed to buy a new digicam. I went looking around for something that had video and photo capabilities like my Sony. I found a few things, but nothing I wanted to spend hundred’s of dollars on. I then found a few things by Kodak I liked. I read the reviews and found one that really suited what I needed. The Kodak v1253 12 megapixel HD digital camera. It shoots 720p high definition video and 3000×2000 resolution photos. For most of you that probably don’t know much about cameras, the quality of the pictures have a lot to do with the resolution, among other things. I picked this one, because it out performed the Flip with the video, and the Flip doesn’t have the ability to take pictures. Although I liked the whole design and everything of the Flip, it just wasn’t for me. Here’s a photo of the device:

So this should be here either tomorrow or Monday. I will then shoot a video to show you the quality of the device. It’s just so cool!

In other news; the upstairs is almost done. I finished the trim up, painting and stuff, and painted the doors. April and her dad are going to pick up the doors tomorrow. Her dad is also going to start sanding the floors and possibly will have a coat of stain on. He said he should finish them this weekend. Then all we will have to do is put the carpet up and the banister. Then we can start moving the desk and computers up there. Once that is done, we will be able to get our new furniture and LCD T.V. Can’t wait for that. Should be within the next 2 weeks and we will be completely done with it. So that means no more videos ;)

So that was a long one. I have a whole lot more to say, but that will have to wait till I get the camera. I’m not used to all this typing anymore…

Update: Also the streaming cam will be up and running again when all of this remodeling stuff is over! I’ve been doing some testing and stuff and have it on my blog, but it won’t be live till about 2 weeks or so!

What is a vlog you might ask? Well it’s a Video Blog, that’s it. Much easier to create a blog and just talk instead of writing, although I will probably do both on my blog. Do a video and write a blog, all on the same post. Like this one here. Last night I was bored and just so damn excited to get my video camera, that I though I would do a video blog. My first. Get everything ready for tomorrow, when I get my cam! It’ll be sweet!

I sold a few things on eBay, so I could get some extra money to buy something for my trip (we’ll get into that later), so I had to drop packages off at the post office. After that I ran and put my check in the bank. Then I went home to buy the thing I was just talking about (give me a sec). After I ran home to do that, I went to the bank again to go get a money order, because I forgot about it! Then I went to go pay a ticket. Errr… I hate tickets!

So anyways, I bought a new camcorder. A Sony DSC-SR62 Hard Drive camera on eBay. It’s brand new and get a really great deal on it. Couldn’t pass it up… well I guess I could have, but… well… I had to have it! It’ll be nice to take with me on our vacation (which is coming up here in less than 2 weeks). Hopefully I get some good videos and can put them up on here. I hope to be doing a lot more video taping for the blog. That’ll be really cool. It’s so small and compact, that I can take it anywhere. Well I’m not to sure if I mentioned this before or not, but in about 10 days or so, we are going to Universal Studios in Orlando, FL. I’m excited. Can’t wait to take a break from work. It’ll be nice and relaxing, well probably not relaxing, but you know.

We started remodeling the upstairs. I’ll go take some picture soon, and post them up here. I have a few more things to put up too. Some from April’s Birthday and the Cardinal game we went to.

Bought Grand Theft Auto iV. It’s awesome. Played that the rest of the day. It’s a really great game.

Well a lot has been going on as you can tell. I’ll try to get as much as I can posted on the website. I’ll even try to blog on our vacation if I get a chance to do that. I’m sure I’ll blog before that. Oh yeah, and my birthday is tomorrow! Yay, I’ll be 27! :(

EDIT: So, I almost got killed when I forgot to mention my wife’s gift to me. I got a very nice watch with my initials engraved on the band. Underneath it says “I will love you till the end of time.” How clever. I guess it’s kind of dumb that I just figured it out at dinner last night… Thank you beautiful!
