Our upstairs is all done except for the touch-ups, which I think I will do today. After that, just a few more places to clean and hang pictures and we’ll be finished up all the way! Can’t wait! Check out my webcam, I’m sure I will be up there a lot more now. Especially now that we are getting another DIRECTV box. So stay tuned for me on the cam. You should be able to see me a bunch today too. Got to get those touch-ups done!
Another video of the progress of my upstairs. It’s so close to being finished. It will probably be done this coming weekend! I can’t wait. Then we get to buy the good stuff like the T.V. and the Futon! Woot!
OK! Here’s another blog. We got the trim finished upstairs, well not completely, but it’s up. It just needs painted, but looks about the same unpainted as it does painted. I think we are close to getting the sander to redo the floors. I can’t wait to see what the dark will look like. You’ll have to wait till we get our furniture to help bring out the brightness. The walls and floor are going to be really dark, so that will make our furniture the focus points. It’s gonna be sweet Let me see if I can find the picture of it. I thought I saw it somewhere on this damn Internet…
Well this is it, but in blue. The samples on the bottom right will show the blue color. I love it!
So we went to price trim, banister, etc. today. Getting close. We found our futon at Weekends Only I believe. We are still not sure. We are sanding the floors down, so that will take sometime. I think we are making the color darker. Can’t wait till this is all done! It’s so hot up there. I hate Missouri’s humidity!!!
We just finished painting the upstairs. Getting really close… Went and looked at doors today. We are getting a glass door that enters the upstairs from the dining room. Will be really cool once that’s done. That’ll probably be the last thing we do. We also went to Weekends Only to look at futons. They have some really cool ones!
Kind of a dark video, but this is an update of the upstairs. Now you can see the colors and the new lighting. We are going to hang a flat screen over the stairs and put a futon in there for seating. Also we are going to redo the hardwood floors. They aren’t that bad at all, so we will probably be renting a sander and refinish all of that. We will be putting the trim up after that. Then that should be it! Can’t wait to have this all done. I can finally have my own office and entertainment room! Sweet!
On a side note: I am working on a better, more user friendly layout for my website. Should be coming up really soon.
